A Special Election to fill the vacancy of the District 3 Supervisor will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021. The one voter precinct in District 3 will vote in this election. District 3 consists of: PRECINCT #3-1 – City of Northwood, Deer Creek Sec. 7-9, 16-21, Grove, & Hartland at the Worth County Fairgrounds Community Room. The polls at the will be open from 7:00 A.M to 9:00 P.M.
The last day to file nomination papers with the auditor is Monday, December 28, 2020. This includes NPPO candidates and candidates nominated by petition, and Democratic and Republican parties’ nominations. The auditor’s office will be open until 5:00 P.M. that day.
The voter pre-registration deadline is Friday, January 8, 2021. The County Auditor must receive all registration forms no later than 5:00 P.M. unless post-marked on or before Monday, January 4, 2021.
Voters may request an absentee ballot at the auditor’s office at any time. If the ballots are not at the office at the time of request, the will be mailed to the voter as soon as they are available. Deadline to request an absentee ballot be mailed is 5:00 P.M. on Friday, January 8, 2021. Voters may request and vote ballots at the auditor’s office until 5:00 P.M. on Monday, January 18, 2021.
